Interview with Sharon Tatem of Tatem Web Design
Here at Joomlahosting.com we like to find and learn about great Joomla websites and how it was done. Today we breifly talk to Sharon Tatem of Tatem design about a website they designed called Wall Murals Direct. In particular we liked the use of Joomla and Virtuemart in this site.
1. Tell us what your site is about and how did you get started with the idea?
My site is a Printed Wall Mural Site. As a fine artist and mural artist I painted wall murals in homes for 8 years and many people who saw pictures started asking if they could have the murals. So I created a printed version and then the site grew to add photos.
2. Why did you decide on Joomla and Virtuemart?
We own a web company and have been using Joomla and Virtumart for about 5 years and find they are both great as expandable and user friendly for ourselves and our clients.
3. What whas the biggest challenge in getting the virtuemart styling just right?
Not adding " the inch sign to the product size- this was an obstacle for the products to show up with attributes.
4. What virtuemart feature did you find the most helpful?
Ability to add attributes and different sizes.
5. What virtuemart feature would you most like to see added or improved in the future?
Easier way to do overall change to a category instead of having to go into each product.
6. Where are you hosting the site? Has the hosting company been helpful? would you host with them again?
